| well ... not much happened last week ...or rather, i just can't seem to remember what happened last week due to old age or something ... but it really seems that life in toronto is full of SOME kind of busy-ness ... let's see ... in a typical week, this would be how it would look: monday - summer ccf (since 24 is done ... perfect timing!), tuesday - ball at rh3c, wed/thurs - meet up with ppl i don't see much, sports, etc., friday - parousia, weekends - church, softball, etc .... man, when u break it down like that, it really seems like time just FLIES! ... literally ... wait, that's not possible, but yah ...
so, let's see what i can remember from 2 weeks ago .. NOTHING, stink! .... k, so last week, mark left from penn/princeton for a week, he shold be back soon for a day actually ... but yah, he'll be going off to hk the next day he's back ... as will harold and kenny ... and even flex is going! ... looks like it'll jsut be a few ppl left from church for the summer ... lotsa ppl going to hk/asia it seems - or simply away from toronto
work's typical ... pretty much the same sorta thing everyday, where my "supervisors" give me different tests to run ... and more data to update on the report which seems like will never be done ...or needs to be done ... actually, i think it needs to be done asap, but they haven't really given me a deadline .. or enuf data to complete it ...so yah, just lotsa various tests ....
last weekend was parousia (rh3c university fellowship) retreat ... where abotu 30 of us went to pioneer camp (or at least, a section of it) ... and did our thing ... small bunch ... not necessarily close or with much of a history together, so it was pretty nice to talk to some of the ppl who went ... shared, prayed, worshipped, learned a bit ... yah, the overall purpose seemed to be centred around fellowship and its authenticity amongst us there ... and to be open and vulnerable to each other ... not an easy thing considering most of us who go to parousia in the summer aren't there during teh school year ... can raelly see our church making steps towards helpign the university students in their walk ... and life ... i guess, as in most cases, we just need to be receptive ... one thing i wonder about is, pastoral/counselor involvement in parousia ... is it "necessary" to thrive? ... i think they're awesome to have especially as guidance, but in the general running of things?... i'm not so sure ... cuz all (if not most) university fellowships (those on campus) seem to be student run... the students seem better able to feel the needs of their peers and help mee those ... priorites may also be different ... but then again, i don't real know the flip side ... but yah, i'm jsut wondering if that's one issue ... wonder wonder ... neawys, yah, retreat was nice, especially being small ... where the guys had no real cliques, cuz we don't really know each other very well ... but yah, just hoping and praying that parousia will be a strong stepping stone for those of us who find the adjustment home to be "different" in terms of our walk and to be able to really encourage and uplift each other in real fellowship ... i still have yet to do devos period ... let alone "real" devos ...
i really hope i can get the softball day running ... that's something i've gotta pray for earnestly, cuz i'm still not SURE to do it or not ... plus, i'm scared ... like really ..... scared
but on the ccsa note, the team's looking nice, although i missed the last practice which apparently everyone BUT me went to ....cuz i was on the retreat ... but yah, good things to come there!! ... loooks like we're gonna mesh really well ... and we've got sick leaders to boot! ... yay!
but yah, if u have a blog/xanga/lj ... comment me!! .. cuz i'm pretty bored at work now ... well, i could be doing stuff, but sometimes i like to procrastinate ... jsut sometimes ... so yep!
oh, summer birthdays ...there seems to be a gazillion of them! ... FUN THO!!!
...i wish i could play in the ball tournament this weekend, with will - looks grim tho ... he's my CATALYST!!!!
take care guys! |
